Food that is regional and seasonal is best: Chef Hussain

Lucknow, 25 May. In the cake decorating competition, the participating girls and women got the opportunity to showcase their talent along with the fine skills of the experts. In the competition, Neha Singh stood first, Trupti Pandey stood second and Jaya Dheeraj Arora stood third. In the dry cake category, Sonia Arora stood first, Vandana Lamba of Kanpur stood second and Shivani Gupta stood third. Anshu Srivastava, Sania Hussain and Stuti Rastogi got these places in Small Cake respectively. In the competition held in three categories, the participants decorated cakes at the competition venue itself.

In the competition organized at Inspire Living Management Academy Gomtinagar, the winners were awarded by the chief guest celebrity chef Prof. Dr. Izzat Hussain along with Chef Balendra Singh, Chef Amit Gupta and Chef Ankur Malik playing the role of judges. Finally, before expressing gratitude, chef Ritu Jaiswal of organizer SK Fowras Bakes welcomed everyone. While giving special tips for cake decorating, Chef Prof. Dr. Izzat Hussain said that your food should be regional and seasonal. Balendra Singh, Executive Chef, IBCA New Delhi, said that no matter what the work is, if you want to make an identity, then you will have to get out of the house for it. Chef Ankur Malik also demonstrated the nuances of cake decorating to the participants.

There were around 20 participants in the competition including Meenu Ahuja, Vandana Lamba, Neha Singh, Shivani Gupta, Jaya, Tanya, Sania Hussain. The participants also quenched their curiosity by asking questions from the experts.
